These musicianship classes and choir, for ages 4-12, aim to build key musical skills which will support existing or future instrumental studies.
We learn our songs alongside singing games, folk dances, and rhythmic body percussion. This keeps learning fun and develops coordination and part keeping skills!
Children develop skills in ensemble part keeping, singing in harmony, performance, improvisation and aural skills. All done through song, games and movement!
Children will learn to read music notation, progressing to sight singing from the stave.
Every child will be supported and encouraged to find their voice. No pressure is put on them to perform or sing solo, but opportunities will exist for every child to do so.
For children already learning or intending to learn an instrument, our group class provides an ideal basis for developing their ear and understanding rhythm, pitch and music notation.
Singing in a group boosts endorphins and helps give your child a positive start to their day! Make friends and have fun, all whilst learning key musical skills.
